Delete your beam account

In the app

Open beam and go to Account → Delete Account. Deletion starts immediately and cannot be undone.

Without the app

If you no longer have beam installed, email support@beambryte.com from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my beam account”. If you signed in with Apple and hid your email, tell us the name on your profile so we can find the account. We delete it within 30 days of your request.

What is deleted

• Your profile, including your name and photo
• Your connections and saved people
• Your notes, including voice notes
• Your co-presence records — when and where you were near other people
• Your device tokens, so you stop receiving notifications
• Your sign-in account itself

Copies of you inside other people’s beam accounts go too: their connection to you, their saved copy of your profile, and any photos or voice notes they kept about meeting you.

What we keep

To keep beam safe, safety reports and blocks that involve you are kept for one year after your account is deleted, then deleted automatically. This stops someone from clearing a record of abuse by deleting their account and signing up again. A safety report can include the reason it was filed and a copy of the reported profile as it was at the time; a block includes the blocked person’s name.

Our server logs can include your account ID; they are deleted automatically after 30 days.
